We called ourselves forest men
Laying in the grass
We ran out of water
But cant go back to camp
Cause we found a bee hive
Its our new tv
Flat screen and surround sound
If you know what I mean
We tried to fit into
Their colony
But we couldn’t understand
The pollen industry
Even with the beauty, bees and
Flowers co-exist
They don’t need a role model
Or smiling president
But we should know our place
Cause all other animals can
The bees don’t use their stingers
To take over lands
Oh we’re damned
The trees are tall sky scrapers
For all the insects
But we’ll chop em down
To build
An apartment complex
All the beast inhabitants
Can’t even get along
We sound like woodpeckers
As we bounce down the halls
And half the people living there
Are filled with
Money and greed
They don’t concern with family
Only new celebrities
The mix of our emotions
Leave us fractured as leaves
Our purpose as a being
Will show us how to leave in peace
But we’re far
And I know it’s our right to survive
But we should focus on saving lives
We’re as natural as all left behind
Life lessons from survivors of time
